@UT4x_champs@Big12Conference@brettyormark Or anyone who understands how contempt of court and the Sherman Antitrust Act are enforced under federal law, but don’t let facts hold you back
@UT4x_champs Anyone who takes this man’s legal advice will likely end up in prison. “It doesn’t matter what a judge says” is how FAFO starts.

@painsworth512 Thinking they can do anything to retaliate against a member school for complying with a standing court order shows a lack of understanding of how contempt of court or the federal Sherman Antitrust Act are enforced.
@painsworth512 The real irony is that the main opposition are the Big 10 and SEC schools who want to maintain the status quo to protect what they deem is their privileged position in college football. Actual reform including merit based payouts and real rules enforcement is too risky to them
@StewieGilchrist Sorsby was caught betting while actually playing at your school and no one reported it or tried to get him help. It only became public when your team sued him to recover NIL money after he left. If sanctions are needed here they are needed against Cincinnati more than Tech
@painsworth512 Anything that gives a rival an advantage will garner such an agreement. The NFL keeps tightening the rules allowing the “brotherly shove” after Philly exploited it so well. This happens all the time, just they don’t usually issue a press release after engaging in collusion
@UT4x_champs Sorsby is a legal adult who hired his own legal team (probably with his considerable NIL money) to protect what he considers to be his interests. How anyone else feels about it is irrelevant. Wise up
@40AcresBuilt@UnBiased_Merica@ravishingtruman The loudest voice advocating for actually enforceable rules is Cody Campbell. There is also a standing court order requiring Sorsby be allowed to play. You don’t have to like the current situation, but advocating for illegal retaliation because you’re mad isn’t a solution.
@rece_messmer@MattGlenesk@MattHayesCFB Current rules state the Big 12 champ gets a bid. Having committee members collude to deny Tech a bid is a clear violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act. You want to kill college football, conspiracy to violate federal law is an obvious first step.
@bigredsoftb@osmattmurschel Meaning, it’s only a matter of time before UCF has a player caught doing the same thing. There either needs to be real reform of the NCAA, or this kind of thing will be common. We need to stop being emotional about Sorsby and start working on the issues that got us here.
@upperwestbruin@Mister_Root Interesting take, you’re a little behind on the enforcement against Penn St, Baylor, Michigan, USC, OU, SMU, A&M… you going to work these ethical violations in chronological order, or admit to selective enforcement?
