It really, really sucks. I had to experience it for the first time last January because my 13 year old Siamese wasn’t well at all. I thought we’d be ok because he had beaten it before, but the vet said this was the last stage. It ambushed me, but I think it is better that way. I’d always told myself I’d stay and I did my last duty to him. I can’t control that we couldn’t heal him again but I could control that I was there for him in the end, and that means a lot to us let carers too.
