🔥 If you are going to a special celebration day tomorrow to Unite our Kingdom this is for you.
Do NOT rise to the offensive comments of Keir Starmer
Do NOT allow yourselves to be goaded into retaliating
Do NOT be what they want you to be
Do NOT fall for the trap.
INSTEAD … Be brilliant British people, regardless of your colour or faith. Be British.. you know, *tut* a bit, roll your eyes, wave your fantastic flags… above all keep calm and carry on!
Have patience my friends.
This is the way you win 🔥
"We asked 48m voters, what would win the Red Wall back for Labour?"
"You said... rejoin the EU, bring in digital ID, abolish jury trials, scrap North Sea oil, do nothing on immigration and appoint Gordon Brown."
"If it's up there, I'll give you the money myself."
#Starmergeddon
So far Starmer’s efforts to save his skin have been a classic case study in how not to save your skin:
The most unpopular Labour PM in history (Starmer) calls in aid the second most unpopular Labour PM in history (Brown).
With most Labour MPs despising you and willing to grant you, at most, a civilised stepping down over some months, you say you’ll be in power for a decade. Labour MPs’ worst nightmare.
You commission a propaganda film of you, Brown, Rachel Reeves and Harriet Harman looking smug and self-satisfied in the Downing Street garden, complete with meaningful music. How divorced from public opinion can you be?
You signal you’re fresh out of new blood (Brown? Harman?) and new ideas (getting close to the EU is the best you can come up with — hardly a game changer).
You think a ‘reset’ speech (again!) can turn things round? You’re truly delusional.
THE END.
What? … 625,618 households received more in benefits than the average UK worker's salary after tax and 16,000 received over £60,000 in welfare payments … DOUBLE the average annual take home pay for a worker in the UK after tax.
This is not a functioning society 🤡
To save his own skin, Keir Starmer threatened his MPs with the loss of their jobs unless they helped cover up his misleading statements to Parliament. It is a disgrace that 333 Labour MPs chose to be complicit in that cover up.
It is very notable that the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister would not repeat his boss’s exact claim that there “was no pressure whatsoever” from No10 on the appointment of Peter Mandelson, instead trying to 'clarify' what he had meant.
This is a government coming apart at the seams. They are more interested in their own survival than the cost of living crisis affecting hardworking families.
Labour MPs will rue the day that they voted against this motion, because it is the day that people saw they believe there’s one rule for Labour and another for everyone else.
This is no longer just about Peter Mandelson.
It is about whether the Prime Minister tells the truth when Parliament asks, whether he takes responsibility for his own decisions, and whether standards in public life still mean anything at all.
The country is watching.
Grateful to Times columnist Giles Coren for putting to the sword a local council pipsqueak for trying to put out of business a restaurant in the middle of nowhere where owner Ruth Hanson does all the kitchen prep herself, the washing up, the bookings, the till, payroll and then cooks it.
The restaurant is called Hansom in Bedale, North Yorkshire. To give you an idea of its remoteness it’s 7 miles from Northallerton and 31 miles from York.
So, on occasions, her husband Mark, who had a job of his own, gives up his evenings to chauffeur some guests to and from their homes.
Coren points out when he reviewed the place last year ( he gave it a glowing recommendation) he had to hitchhike from Northallerton station.
No Bedale train, no metro, no Uber hanging around at the corner.
Enter Chris Doyle, licensing enforcement officer for N Yorkshire council, who has written to Ruth saying in his view Mark was operating a taxi service and that would require a raft of expensive and time consuming licences.
Ruth responded that Mark was her husband, he was unpaid and there was no separate charge for the journey.
Doyle said he didn’t care as there was deemed to be a commercial benefit and warned without a licence the council may take legal action.
Coren has a great last paragraph; “ Yeah, you sue her, you absolute local heroes.
“ You teach Ruth and Mark a lesson for being great at their jobs, for treasuring their customers, for trying to create a little joy and make ends meet in a collapsing world.”
PS Thought you’d like to see what a Ruth menus looks like. This is called the Sunday Sharing Feast.

This is completely fatal for Keir Starmer.
Olly Robbins has now admitted the Prime Minister personally insisted on appointing Peter Mandelson himself.
This proves Starmer lied to the public about the security vetting process.
Watch it all the way to the end.
He’s finished.
“The Prime Minister lied.
It’s now in the national interest he goes.”
Keir Starmer’s words…not ours.
We’re only holding him to the standards he set himself.
So apart from trying to give away the Chagos islands.

What has Starmer really achieved apart from breakfast clubs and the decay of our country?
Keir Starmer has now sacked everyone involved in Mandelson’s appointment - Chris Wormald, Morgan McSweeney, Olly Robbins.
But Starmer was ultimately the one who approved it. He’s got no one left to sack. It’s time for him to take responsibility. He should go.
Just to be clear... Lord Mandelson, a proven liar, failed security vetting to be the UK's most senior diplomat trusted with vital state and security secrets - but no one at the Foreign Office bothered to tell the PM or anyone else at Number 10 about it.
Do they seriously expect us to believe this claptrap? Just how dumb do they think we are?!
The Prime Minister is either a liar or a fool. Either way, he has to resign.
