Yesterday I spoke on behalf of my green colleagues against the appointment of Cr Chung to be a chair. We do not believe someone who undermined the mana and integrity of their colleague by sharing misogynistic and offensive rumours should be in a leadership position.
I'm excited to announce today that I'm standing for a better, fairer, greener East in this year's Wellington City Council elections. I love where we live, but I reckon with some practical solutions it could be even better! Check out https://t.co/5HAzEysa9L for more info
Lots of good examples here from @jonnybosborne of actions we can take to change our approach to stormwater: slowing water down and providing green spaces to soak it up, using less concrete and instead using more planting, etc. Sponge cities for the win.

Thanks to climate change we’re going to get heavier and more intense storms. To make our cities more resilient to flooding we need to rethink how we manage stormwater https://t.co/tTqGNp9Grn
Not great reading from Wellington Water’s perspective, and not helping us solve our water woes. But don’t forget it was councils, not WW, that chose to underinvest in our water infrastructure for decades. That’s why rates are going up so much now. https://t.co/lxvVYIaOh7
Has anyone else noticed the inverse relationship between the amount of cricket on @skysportnz and the cost of watching it?
I know, I know there’s other news going on, but still.
Kia ora @ByPhillipRollo, Gill talked about potentially two more transfers from the Nix before the season starts. Surman’s one, who’s the other? Sutton?
Lots of people especially parents are concerned about the Transport Minister’s blanket removal of safer speeds, overturning locally agreed safer streets by decree. If you want to tell the Minister to let locals decide on our kids’ safety come submit tomorrow 11-2 at Newtown Hall.
