Labour Ministers should get their heads out of cloud cuckoo land.

The Farming Minister says that farmers regularly stop him on the street and tell him he’s right about the Family Farm Tax.

So today in Parliament, I held the Minister to his words and asked him to name just one of these farmers.

Unsurprisingly, he couldn’t.

In the real world — having visited hundreds of farmers since the budget – this tax, and all the other changes are deeply unpopular and those who work day in, day out to feed our country know the sheer damage Labour will cause. 👇

Keir Starmer abandoned his visit to Buckinghamshire to promote housing plans due to a farmers protest. He has now disingenuously doubled down on the inheritance tax on family farms.

“Would people prefer NHS waiting lists to come down, lower interest rates, mortgages to come down OR tax breaks for farmers? We know what they would prefer. It’s a choice.”
