What a terrific achievement this is! This started some 15 years ago at University of Wisconsin with Minesh Mehta and his team: painstaking studies on patterns of failure, dose planning, hippocampus contouring, endpoints... a model of translational research in radiation oncology!

NHSD have advised that SFT will not be decommissioned on 31st August. The new end date is yet to be advised.
The SFT front page will be updated accordingly once the new closure date is known.

@RomaanaMir As we generally move towards fewer fractions, this is going to matter more. Fewer treatments to average out OARs receiving more or less dose than planned, and less opportunity to spot and correct for systematic patient changes.
