We need more bus routes that circumnavigate towns rather than going in and out of the centre. Sometimes you just want to get to the opposite side of town and it's usually two busses with a change at the central station. Annoyingly cumbersome.
Reform literally campaigned on killing people in Wales by wanting to get rid of the 20mph limits. Not one opposition party called them out on it. We wonder why politics in the UK is buggered.
You can't blame anyone else for the "loss of British culture" when you don't listen to British music created this millennium, don't go to gigs, don't watch British films, don't support arts funding, don't order eels when you have a takeaway and insist you don't watch the BBC.
@anon_opin This was essentially Labour’s 10 Year Transport Plan in the late 90s (which initially had cross-party support) but sadly they bungled it by immediately folding in the face of any pushback whatsoever.
@anon_opin Developers used to squeeze every last drop out of the hardware back in the day. Now, we stop supporting completely functional hardware after 10 years and consign it to the dump.
@mikelavelle93 Same reason they drive past massive signs saying “road ahead closed” or nearly hit pedestrians crossing the side road they’re turning into - most drivers are in a world of their own, unaware of anything outside their little box.
Maybe the reason why there are so many potholes isn't because the council aren't doing their job, but because so many of you selfish pricks are driving round in 3 ton SUVs
This obsession for American pickup trucks on UK roads is insane. Dave, you live on a fucking estate in Doncaster not on the prairies of Montana. Tax the bastards to oblivion
@christopheraln @Variety@scottygb Exactly! A subscription service like Sky needs shows that punch through, beyond their existing customer base, and get talked about. They could easily (and indeed have) spent similar amounts on dramas which have come and gone without making any real impact.
@DEADLINE Also, interesting that this article appears to have been uploaded while the show was still being broadcast. How long did he give the show before starting to write this no-doubt deeply considered article?
