@owenjonesjourno@Pal_action There is not genocide in Gaza. Just a militant with the lowest civilian death tolls ratio is modern history. It’s a tragic war caused by Hamas. Campaign to end Hamas and the war will end tomorrow.
@FlashForFreedom I would love to see the insight of Oxfordshire city council where people won’t look at a proposal after 4pm in case they work over their daily hours, whilst farmers are out there grafting 24/7
Is mainstream media egging on the conflict?
Yesterday a number of news outlets (@BBC, @CNN etc.) sent push notifications to millions of phones: Israel had destroyed a hospital in Gaza
International condemnation was immediate and widespread. Riots broke out across the Arab world; a meeting between Biden and world leaders was called off
However, evidence is mounting this morning - videos, transcripts of Hamas comms, photos - that this tragic hospital blast may have been caused by a ‘Palestinian Islamic Jihad’ rocket, rather than the IDF (who deny involvement)

To be clear, I do not know (of course) precisely who did what. But what we can know for sure is this:
1) Hamas immediately blamed the attack on Israel
2) mainstream media quickly parroted that line without sufficient evidence
3) as did leaders and politicians.
4) Irrespective of what's true, that line has become the accepted version of events
5) resulting in more global instability and violence, and damaging possible peace talks
This is shaping up to be the most intense information war of modern times. Stay vigilant; inaccurate stories only lead to more civilian lives tragically lost - on both sides of this horrific conflict.

@BrixtonHatter@kadhim @PhilMcDuff Nonsense! Noone would keep personal money there, just money to pay the 10,000's of people who may now be unemployed. The knock on impact will be massive

(note: there are probably exceptions but generally, these will steer you right)
