@SalvadorDafti We're peas in a pod - I've just had The Broad Majestic Shannon on here. Music is food for the soul and I get plenty of inspiration from you and your pal Raoul π
@batcountry1980@Marc_Fagel Appreciate their influence and craft, but just do not resonate with me. I've been told enough times that it's my loss, and it probably is, but I find it all so bland.
@batcountry1980@ColbyBallowe Great vocal, beautifully delivered with warmth and control, during a period when his singing often sounded nasal and strained
@batcountry1980@ColbyBallowe Love that cover of Carnation. It's hard to come by. I must be of a similar age to you, Raoul. The Jam weren't in our faces, but scratch beneath the surface and they were present. Their influence was all around. A great band.
@batcountry1980@BJreceiver1 I threw out Thin Lizzy and The Stones, but this is in fact number one for me. Somebody Have Mercy into Bring it on Home is as good as it gets. The cheers from the crowd when he ratchets it up a notch set the hairs on end, every time.
@batcountry1980 I like Tom Waits, but not familiar with this so I'll give it a go over the next week pal... But Jerry Lee Lewis is a colossus and that album is a juggernaut!
