Here are my notes from reading the 115 page document 'The Reading Framework' from the DfE. Please do read the original document yourself, but these may be useful as a quick reference guide (just my own interpretation of the framework.) #readingframework
We have been trying to create a buzz about #reading in school for a while. This term we did the simplest thing and it seems to have worked. Children are now coming to my classroom door asking for specific texts they want to read and series of books they want me to buy
It could have solely been the June reading challenge that was set or it could be the accumulation of everything we have done over the past few years to really raise the profile. Accelerated Reader has really enthused and excited the children as we have weekly Word Count Winners
📚#Giveaway To celebrate my blog's second blogiversary, I'm giving away to one winner 4 of my favourite books. I have ordered these from the wonderful @rshipbshop who will post to the winner. To enter: like, RT and tag a friend or two! Closes 17th April (UK only). Good luck!
