Thank you so much for suggesting the book Radical Help. I'm about halfway through and it's really enhanced thinking about our schools Pupil premium strategy. @HilaryCottam great book, great thinking. You've helped me make some sense of the senseless.

@Headteacherchat Sometimes you need to understand why a person failed to come across, I gave the bad news to an applicant and offered to spend and hour working on Interview technique, he accepted. We ended up hiring him later and he's one of our best teachers.
@tes@SexeysSchool My son started with extended days @SexeysSchool in year 7, in school to 7pm. Completing his homework and having dinner. He has now moved to flexible boarding and is loving it. We miss him, but he's really grown and matured as a person and we get to spoil him on the weekends.
What a fantastic day and an amazing bunch of Year 11 students! It was great speaking to so many of the students about the courses they hope to join and future career paths. We are looking forward to making those aspirations a reality! #whystudyanywhereelse
