After the euphoria of Sunday’s marathon today it was the time for sadness as we remembered my lovely sister-in-law Vicky at her very moving funeral. So glad my efforts have raised more than £9000 so far for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

@andyjameshicks@theLDNstandard@ZackPolanski Calm down Andy. Say what you like about me but having read it you now know it is a fairly balanced appraisal of MMT with both sides of the argument represented. We need to take the “hysteria” - to use your word - out of public discourse on important political issues.

“He's separating himself from her by calling her ‘love’ and diminishing her by saying ‘good try’, to an experienced journalist. Just answer the question.”
Michael Rosen calls Nigel Farage’s comments to Mishal Husain “pernicious”.

it’s a 2 minute radio program, never repeated, broadcast 18 times a week.
Bigger audience than Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon … combined.
Millions listen, with no need for the information it gives. Just to listen.
The BBC Shipping Forecast is 100 years old.
Very sad about this. Great actor, he was brilliant in many movies but I was blown away by All is Lost a few years ago when he had hardly any lines but delivered an astonishing performance.
@DPJHodges@Jack_Lakeland You’re so right Dan, the London I know, live in, report on, and love is a world away from the hackneyed (as it were) clichéd representation.
The problem facing the PM's critique of Reform is that global bond investors have yet to unwind what broke in the Gilt market in Sept/Oct 2022. They have seen successive Budgets by both Hunt and Reeves since the Mini Budget - and not taken off the additional interest rate on UK debt vs the G7 benchmark. Yes, there are arguments that this might not be entirely a verdict on fiscal unsustainability (active QT is an exercise only being pursued by the BoE), but the idea that fiscal credibility has been restored is at odds with the available data. PM lumping additional WFP/>2 child benefit costs on the Chancellor without details of how it will be funded do not help those optics.
Superb from @gideonrachman
Zelenskyy is the real thing. He stayed in Kyiv, when Russian forces were closing in and the city was under bombardment. Vance, by contrast, chose to move to a secure location when confronted with a few hecklers on a skiing trip
