Much of the left loves to talk about “protecting democracy” right up until voters choose someone they don’t like.
Bolivia elected a pro-American president, and now the response is riots, blockades, shortages, and an attempt to make the country ungovernable.
You can’t call yourself pro-democracy while trying to punish an entire country for voting in a way you don’t like.

This is an extremely common fault in this type of discourse.
