Other times, the Radio room tells us they never received reports from dispatch. Our experience is that we are a nuisance to JMPD for asking them to assist in enforcing the laws. We are so frustrated.

We live 5 blocks away. 12.30am Monday morning. Multiple calls to JMPD with no results. SAPS is better at responding, but noise falls under JMPD. This persistent intrusion.

Parents who need to go to work. Noise has become an epidemic of violence against our psychological and physical well-being. Not just in our area. Please help us. We are desperate. We have written so many letters to authorities.

Imagine midnight on a Sunday night things are thumping like it's December holidays.

We often get told when we phone that venues are allowed to make noise until 2am.

The street has venues consistently, creating noise disturbances, any day of the week, all kinds of hours. There seems to be an uptick of noise all over JHB from formal venues like this. Also, homes turned into event venues. We appreciate efforts to enforce bylaws
