Some of the best instructors I've met run schools that are one bad quarter away from trouble.
Not because they can't teach. Because nobody teaches black belts the business side.
@BernardoFariaJJ tough one. feels like masters should be able to opt in but maybe with a weight gap limit or something. injuries like that are what make older guys stop competing all together
@drewlock this is the one beginners deal with constantly. is it mostly about angling off or just not letting them get your hips stacked over your shoulders?
@masterchim47 this is real. at most small schools i talk to the owner is teaching 5 classes a day and nobody is looking at the numbers till something breaks
@masterchim47 this is so true with software. owners either never change anything or grab every new app that shows up and end up with 6 logins and nothing talks to each other
@JustinDevonshi1 the 50 to 150 part is where most seem to get stuck. what breaks first in your experience, fulfillment or the owner still doing all the sales?
@patrigsby keeping them is the cheaper half too. schools i talk to will spend a ton on ads and nothing on the members who quietly stopped showing up last month
@StephenCOliver never thought about it like that but its so true, nobody picks up unknown numbers anymore. a quick text first so they know its you helps too
@StephenCOliver warm up first is so smart. most schools i talk to just hand the new guy a whole kids class when someone calls out sick and then wonder why he looks lost. the 30 sec huddle after is the part everyone skips
@MartialProgress kids training next to the adults on grading night is such a good idea. they step up big when the adults are watching. do the adults like it as much as the kids do?
@drewlock 100%. you can tell right away if they explain why the hips matter or just say squeeze the knees. whats the detail you think most people skip?
@AlexHormozi level 2 is where most small gym owners get stuck. revenue looks fine but after rent, payroll and 5 different software bills there isnt much left
