We really need to address how there is lack of indian models & representation in Rahul mishra's show titled "𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙞". which is all about indian heritage & art.

As a fashion show with an entire theme revolving around Indian culture and heritage this is not justified at all. Heck, even Chanel had more indian models than this show.

Infact he needs to be held accountable for this. it gives impression of wanting indian culture while removing indians from it, facilitated by our own people. it sends the message that this is for the entire world but not for the people from whose culture it comes from.

The lack of Hindu models representing Hindu goddesses is jarring to witness. This couture show attempts to celebrate indian heritage, yet removes indian people from it. what does that show? that it is okay to consume and sell indian culture without the indians. This is also a form of appropriation.

Couture is supposed to be art first and commerce second because each piece is handcrafted and custom made.
taking away indian representation from indian heritage & indian art is wrong.

Rahul mishra needs to introspect and start giving platform to indian people when he draws from their heritage. Selling indian culture without indians, is familiar business practice of the West.
