The ballot results are, overall, disappointing. The profession is now in a significantly weaker position for negotiating pay deals. NEU getting a yes vote is a big deal given the other two results.

I've come to realise that workload is not the issue, it's directed time & the condition that schools provide no less than 10% of the weekly timetable for PPA. Most schools can't afford to provide more than the minimum PPA, but Ts seriously need more than this to be effective.

Tomorrow’s CPD is on Behaviour Management. You will be told that when students misbehave, it is your lesson planning and delivery that is the problem, not the children. The session is expected to last just three hours and is entitled: They’re always fine for me.

Does anyone know of a book or source of questions for students to practice the maths questions in GCSE Physics/Chemistry? I want to give my students lots of practice but struggling to find more than 3 or 4 questions in the textbooks we have, which is not enough practice!
