@MeAgainCG@AmericanGwyn This is the first time I've even seen him refer to the genocide at all and you're right—it's in the most pathetic context imaginable. Not surprising, considering his response to the Vanity Fair article about Cormac McCarthy that he quietly walked back...
@AmericanGwyn@dose_of_Close Didn't you just say in your OP that it's insane to treat Israelis, and by extension the IDF, as a monolith? A strange threshold for censorship. If Hamas are mere terrorists who butcher everyone in sight, what are the IDF tens of thousands of dead children later?
Israel has just banned me from entering.
Given that this is a fascist government presiding over genocide, apartheid and an illegal occupation, I’ll wear it as a badge of honour.
I will not be intimidated into silence. I will continue to speak out against Israel’s genocide and against the UK’s complicity.
If anything, this ban only strengthens my resolve to keep speaking out.
The disgrace is that Andy Burnham, Ed Miliband and this Labour government continue to arm, trade and cooperate with a state committing genocide against Palestinians.
One day, I look forward to visiting Jerusalem not as an occupied city, but as part of a free and liberated Palestine - a single state with equal rights for all, where Palestinians enjoy the freedom, dignity and equality that have been denied to them for far too long.
Until then, we as a movement must keep fighting. We have no other choice.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free 🇵🇸✊🏽
Israel knows Western public opinion has turned against it.
So its strategy is to tie itself to anti-Muslim, anti-migrant politics.
It believes helping to whip up racism in the West is its best chance of facing down pro-Palestinian politics.
Israeli authorities mark the new Trump Board of Peace agreement with massive air strikes targeting residential blocks in Gaza in the middle of the night.
For as long as people have read Vaneigem, everything has been said, but few have taken advantage of it. Strategic thought begins on the other side of the confrontation with the revolution of everyday life.

💢 Israel confirms it is walling off the half of Gaza it controls
The Israeli military has built more than 23 kilometers (14 miles) of earthen barriers cutting through Gaza, physically dividing the roughly 50% of the territory it occupies from the crowded coastal strip where Palestinians have been forced to live, according to Planet Labs satellite imagery reported by The Associated Press.
The findings confirm and extend reporting Drop Site News first published in January, when analysis by Forensic Architecture revealed Israel had begun turning the so-called “yellow line” into a physical barrier of raised earth berms. Drop Site reported in May that the berms had grown into a mostly unbroken wall, often running west of the line and deeper into Palestinian land.
What’s New:
🔹Presented with the images, Israel’s military confirmed to the AP for the first time that it has built the barrier, and said it established a “security zone” around the line.
🔹One southern section splitting the ruins of Rafah from the Mawasi tent camps grew from 500 meters to 2.4 kilometers in the first two weeks of July alone.

Excuse me for being too much of an ayatollah, but this world cup should never have been played and everybody should have boycotted it. With Gaza undergoing a holocaust, Lebanon being destroyed and Iran under attack by a US-led coalition, and with ICE terrorizing Americans and foreigners, this has just felt wrong all along. We all know and feel it.
The powers that be must never be allowed to rely on our conformity and desire to feel normal and ok to legitimize their horrors and atrocities.
No celebrations, no festivities, no holidays, no special days. All of it feels like shit.
The card of avoidance and nonparticipation is one of the strongest we got, and we abandoned it completely. It is all part of the normalization of fascism and genocide. There is no joy and no pride in tournaments and competitions played against a backdrop of untold, organized suffering.
We need to learn to say no, or we're doomed, and doom others, too.
You leave Downing Street with the blood of tens of thousands of Palestinians on your hands.
History will remember you as a war criminal for your role in the genocide in Gaza.
Our movement will never forget.
Good riddance.
Thousands of us are in London today with a message to the new Prime Minister: we are not disappearing, we are not going away, and we will never stop campaigning for the liberation of Palestine.
End Britain’s complicity in genocide, now.
