the bachelor is a bad show but if they made a friendship version where a dude hangs out with 20 different guys to pick a new best bud holy shit I would watch it every single day
Experiences are very underrated as gifts. Like don't get me wrong, I still get excited over socks. But theatre productions, travel plans, concert tickets, dance classes...nothing will ever beat that.
I’m scheduled 48hrs each pay period. I just worked double that. And I would like to be excited. But I’m too tired. And the government is going to get most of the extra from taxes anyways so boo.
not too socially anxious to travel to the otherwise of an ocean alone but just pretended to check the notes on my phone as if i was grabbing food for someone else cause i felt weird about how much i was ordering at tim hortons
Everybody has their own vision and version of success. And yours may change many times throughout your life. 5 years ago the only thing that mattered was finishing school. Now, my focus is entirely on enjoying each and every day for what it has to offer. It’s that simple.
For as long as I can remember my life has been work/school driven, aspiring for the traditional version of “success”. And yesterday as I turned down a job opportunity to continue pursuing a second passion and after solo travelling for 3 weeks...I finally feel like I can breathe.
I love my job. But I love other things too. Including my family and friends. And I have my entire life to work and follow/develop my career path. I refuse to miss out on other opportunities that may only present themselves once just for the sake of booking more hours at work.
