My program had 3 different distance coaches in as many months which resulted in 13 men quitting the team (of the 30 you refer to) and many others deciding to redshirt. Add injuries…

Portland State’s Jordan Macintosh is not eligible to compete at the NCAA regional meet in his senior season because the team did not fulfill the requirement of racing 14 men at eight meets this season.

It had been 17 years since a Viking scored in the finals of the men's 1,500m at the Big Sky outdoor meet. @jordanmac44 ended the drought with a fifth-place finish in 3:52.37, an excellent time given the altitude.

The Viking men placed third at the #BigSkyXC meet, their highest finish ever by two whole spots. The Vikings placed their entire top five among the first 25 finishers, while @jordanmac44 set an individual record by placing 12th overall.

The Viking men placed six runners in the top 100 at Pre-Nationals, while the women placed four. That bodes well for the championship meets the next few weeks when the Viks will be racing for a chance to return to Stillwater.

@jordanmac44's time of 8:35.44 in the steeplechase at today's #BellTrials22 came in a PSU jersey, making him eligible for a school record. His time was 21 seconds under Josh Snyder's old record of 8:56.64, which Snyder set last year.
