@cookies75647@Mirs_____ Yeah there is nothing wrong with the right one, it has more character. The whole purpose of translating Japanese works is to capture their particular approach to writing, I dont think its bad for people to take influence from it
@ARBITERFAN@piperocktheory This is a better description to me. Cause yeah the songwriting is reminiscent of older folk, but the psychedelia is what was more modernized and its exactly what threw me off. The fuzz and drone was not for me
@OldLady_Hopkins@piperocktheory To clarify, cause I was a lil messy in making my point, Hendrix definitely was playing blues. My point was honestly more on the 'soulful' thing, his music wasn't really in conversation with Soul music like that. I rly think that started to change in his late period though
@OldLady_Hopkins@piperocktheory I get what you saying but what I meant is that hendrix's "experience" output just feels more like a pastiche of blues than a bonafide dialogue with it, in the words of miles davis, it was honky tonk shit
The Beach Boys are such an easy target for musictwt because most of the time it’s just someone who casually listened to Pet Sounds and the surf songs thinking they’ve heard everything posting their “Beach Boys overrated” take pandering to other people who’ve done the exact same.
@redshirt990 Im old enough to remember when niggas said the same shit about bush jr but here it is another white man is still in control…yall niggas need to grow up…
I really feel sorry for people who don’t truly love rap music in all its forms cuz every other artistic interest just pales in comparison and depth and it gets better every single year.
You used to be able to get into grunge and alternative and then over a period of time absorb the mast majority of 60s and 70s rock. Nowadays if you are a serious modern rap head there’s no way you can devote the time and energy to all the classics. There aren’t enough hours in the day
