@Andrefidalgo77 Aqui hoje no caldas / Sporting o árbitro ajudou no jogo do Caldas.
@Pagmenzies@CANSoccerDaily The assistant coach has been promoted to the main coach position. Let's see what happens with Eustáquio in the Europa League. In the league as long as he plays and has a great season personally and Porto finishes below first that would be great for everyone.
@EricKrakauer Maybe he was already resting Gonçalo Inácio, Pedro Neto and Ruben Neves for Friday match against France. Hopefully Friday is a different experience.
@Project8Sports Hopefully project 8 is following the European football standard and are assisting, helping the somewhat established CPL teams launch their women and girls soccer programs. Sharing the costs of facilities, team staff, travel, etc would greatly help the growth of game in Canada.
@MikeFriesen10 @JeffZweep@beaver_ball @__RobH__ @salishsea86 @piercelang_ @DouglasPollitt@rwesthead "The FA generated a total turnover of £518.8m [2020-21: £443m] with an operating profit of £138.6m [2020-21: £132m]. Taken from the FA 2021-2022 Financial report." And the Canadian players think they deserve more than what the English squad receives. Funny Canadians!!
@JeffZweep@beaver_ball @MikeFriesen10 @__RobH__ @salishsea86 @piercelang_ @DouglasPollitt@rwesthead I think the Canadian players are comparing themselves to the English players. In reality they're more in line with Luxembourg or San Marino.
@SportsLifeAB @JackCoul2@rwesthead The money you're referencing from the 2022 World Cup went to the tv broadcaster TSN. Canada Soccer or the CSB didn't get any of that money. CSA received money from Fifa from the participation in the tournament.
@buzzbishop@GarethWheeler In reality real national team footballers help charities and their federations with their appearance fees. https://t.co/oW0Y6pJ7uD
@DouglasPollitt @salishsea86 @piercelang_ @__RobH__ @rwesthead No worries. That's the thing about twitter. At times what's written doesn't come out the same way as having in person conversation.
@DouglasPollitt @salishsea86 @piercelang_ @__RobH__ @rwesthead That's what I have been saying along. The money the players receive should be donated back to the federation to help the next generation. It's a privilege representing the national team, it's not a job. For a job they could enlist in the Royal Canadian military!!!
@DouglasPollitt @salishsea86 @piercelang_ @__RobH__ @rwesthead Even high schools in Texas have better funding and facilities than Canadian soccer has. Look up Melissa High School in Melissa, Texas. They just finished spending 35 million US in a stadium. Would love to get westhead's take on that one of many examples.
@salishsea86 @piercelang_ @DouglasPollitt @__RobH__ @rwesthead That is my take from back home (and other European countries) the sponsorship money is funneled down from the business arm of the federation (ex. CSB) to fund national team facilities, matches, youth development, football infrastructure ( fields, facilities, etc) tv network.
