Google Contacts already creates Calendar events for birthdays with notifications, so I kept that for alerts and use the script just to create the Task as a persistent to-do.

Two systems doing half the job each. Anyone with a better solution??

Built a birthday reminder automation with Apps Script + People API → creates Google Tasks automatically.

Problem: Tasks API doesn't support push notifications. Task exists but never alerts you. Feels broken.
