In the advent of potential leaks, I am posting my predictions for the Ascendance roster.

Assuming there will be about 30 monsters, the first 10 are basically accounted for.
Expansions rarely add more than 4 genuine new monsters.
Half the roster will be variants/subs/guardians.

who decides what is and isnt literary and by what criteria? what about authors like stephen king and margaret atwood that follow characteristics of both "literary fiction" and "genre fiction" - and have had success and created what most would agree are "modern classics"?

while im at it posting my booktwt takes i despise the term 'lit fic' because all it does is enforce the hierarchical idea of what is & and isnt 'literature' and perpetuate the idea of a Great Western Canon. what stops genre fiction from having literary merit?

@Horrorf55031953 @Holliiejanes its a matter of canon trying to preserve immeasurable things like 'intellect' and associate them with what are and arent called 'classics'. horror and other genre fiction like sci-fi have historically been victims of this, today the pendulum has swung to romance & fantasy
