Living together is a trap!
Cohabitating aka living together. Many of you are in a cohabitation situation. You decided not to get married and just live together four time. Whether you have children or not you need to be aware of the laws in your jurisdiction. In many states living together can have the same legal consequences as if you had signed the contract with the state. Breaking up with her can have the same consequences as getting divorced up to an including spousal support and division of assets. The same goes with your children if you have any with this woman.

Cohabitation is a trap! It is fraught with the same dangers of marriage but you don't get any of the tax benefits!

Until the law of the land changes to a more equitable state avoid marriage and cohabitation.
