🎙️ Aitana Bonmatí for @GlamourSpain
“Lately I've read comments linking me to the presidency of Barça that have been quite amusing, headlines like "the first female president in history." When you read that, you think: "Wow, wouldn't that be wonderful?"
Breakups hurt but have you ever watched your favorite player go through a relentless recovery after a devastating injury one that happened right in the middle of her generational run and took her away from the game for almost a year?

🎙️ Aitana Bonmatí on her return from injury
“Well, it’s a very complicated process, honestly. I’m still in the process, which is why we’re taking it little by little, because it’s been really difficult. And, well, I’m kind of eager to feel like a footballer again, to be the Aitana I’ve always been. But when you have a serious injury, you also learn other things, like patience. And it’s like you take it one day at a time. And, well, I’m calm because I’ve worked a lot, I’m still working very hard, I’m doing everything within my power, I have no doubt about that. But, well, it’s not as quick as I would like.
So I’m working on it, and, well, I’m positive.”

Charaeva (World No. 118) has defeated Rybakina (World No. 1) in Beijing. Let it sink in.
