Jeff Halper is an Israeli anthropologist, author, and political activist known for his work on the Israeli Palestinian conflict. Born in the United States in 1946, he moved to Israel in 1973 and later became a prominent critic of Israeli policies in the occupied territories. He co-founded the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), an organization opposing the demolition of Palestinian homes and advocating for a just political resolution between Israelis and Palestinians. Halper has written extensively on the conflict, lectured internationally, and remained active in peace and human rights advocacy for decades.
