Five months ago, I lost my dad.
Six years ago, I lost my mum.

Today, I have two younger sisters looking up to me.
One recently became a mother.
The other is still in school.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, I'm still trying to figure out my own life.

Nobody prepares you for the moment life stops asking if you're ready.

It just hands you responsibility and Gbam!!
"Your turn."

There are days I miss my parents.😔

Not because I need answers.

But because sometimes I wish I could stop being strong for just a moment.🫩

¤ People see ambition.
¤ They see goals.
¤ They see plans.

What they don't always see is the pressure behind them.

~ The pressure to make things work.
~ The pressure to provide.
~ The pressure to become something greater than your circumstances.

I've learned that grief doesn't always look like tears.

Sometimes it looks like waking up every day and deciding to keep going.🚶🏾‍♂️
Even when your heart is tired.

One thing life taught me recently:

Nobody is coming to build my future for me.
Not because people don't care.
But because this is my journey to walk.

☆So I stopped waiting for perfect conditions.
