Young people need more than training, they need pathways to sustainable livelihoods. On International Youth Day, AYV looks at Ramatu Karim Conteh’s journey from skills training to entrepreneurship, and what it takes to turn opportunity into lasting impact. #InternationalYouthDay
Proud to have graduated from the Spark Media MASTER CLASS in Photography. It’s been an inspiring journey. As a journalist passionate about documentary photography, this is another step in telling powerful stories through both words and images. 📸
My camera Operator Daniel Bob Forbie and I visited a stone mining settlement in the Moyeba community in the East End of Freetown. There, we met Doris, a 17-year-old girl who must balance survival with the reality that her rights have been violated. Here’s the story.
The ‘Daniel Bwala interview with Aljazeera’
True journalism requires homework.
Do your research.
Gather the facts.
Then bring them to the table during the interview.
People are just stupid in Sierra Leone.
It can be true, but a truth that causes chaos in a state; should not be told.
Beyond the division some of our religious books instigate, is our National Cohesion to protect

Kicking off the 16 Days of Activism Against GBV.
As a young journalist, I stand for every woman and girl whose voice must be protected.
Respect to every person or organization fighting against GBV in Sierra Leone.
Let’s choose action, respect, and zero tolerance for violence.

injury…’’

Because of you, I keep renewing my commitment to serve, even with the ordeals I encounter.
Yesterday, I heard powerful stories from sex workers and formerly incarcerated women; stories of injustice, survival, and hope. One woman, falsely jailed for 6 years, proved her innocence. We need compassion and accountability in our justice system.

@orange and @AfricellSalone , we’re not against higher service costs for better quality, but you should inform and justify them, just like you do with your promo messages of festivals on our personal lines.
We love you😊
It’s so sad that telecommunications companies just added the cost to their data services without a formal information and explanation.
And by the way NatCA, you guys have such a bad communications team.
