Neither Kibaki nor Uhuru implemented this nationwide recognition for our village elders.
President William Ruto has now made it a reality. Some may dismiss it, but history often rewards leaders who invest in the forgotten pillars of society.
Today, every village elder is feeling the government's hand. Every village across Kenya is now singing President Ruto TOSHA because of felt leadership.
More than 10,000 village elders gathered at State House, Nairobi, as the Government confirmed that 106,000 village elders across all 47 counties have been onboarded into the National Government Administration system.
From today, every village elder will receive a KSh3,000 monthly stipend, with plans to provide SHA coverage from January 2027, smartphones to support their work, and enhanced grassroots security through closer collaboration with Administration Police.
Every village has a reason to smile. Every village is feeling the impact. #EmpoweringVillageElders #Tutam
Chaired a meeting of the County Executive Committee to review implementation of projects undertaken during the just-concluded Financial Year and assess the project pipeline for the current Financial Year.
With the County Government Project Information Management System now in place, we are better positioned to plan, procure and implement projects efficiently, in line with approved timelines and budget allocations. I am encouraged that most of our flagship projects remain on course for completion and operationalization by the end of the year.
I challenged County Executive Committee Members and Chief Officers to remain focused on delivery, adhere to implementation timelines and mobilize their teams to execute projects that will transform the socio-economic well-being of our people while enhancing service delivery.
Present with me and the team was the Deputy Governor H E David Kones.
Today, I honoured an invite to officially inaugurated the PM Women League, a major step toward building a party where women are empowered to lead and shape Kenya’s future.
Karibuni PM.
The movement continues to grow.

Delighted to host Mr. Maurice Ogeta, the long-serving aide to the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, in my office this morning for a courtesy call.
