@john_murdy I always admire your work and I appreciate all that you do. Mr. Murdy, I’m still awaiting my bar results (won’t know until November), will you please send good thoughts and luck my way? I’m hoping I pass! Any would be sincerely appreciated!
@john_murdy I hope you’ve had a safe trip. More so, I wanted to thank you for allowing Ozzy’s legacy to continue on, as I know his family appreciates it. In other news, Sir, please send me good thoughts—-just finished the California Bar Exam—really nervous and won’t know results until Nov.
@john_murdy@nholt4512 This is my favorite part! No joke but I really enjoy the details of a contract. You said that they are mainly licensing agreements, right? Or, are there other types of agreements you think I should try to memorize? Any advice greatly helps me with the contracts section of the bar
@john_murdy This is an Easter Egg I was wondering if you found. I was watching SAW IV the other night, with Officer Rigg and the Bedroom Trap with Ivan. He had to enter Room 261 of the motel. Section 261 of the California Penal code outlines the crimes Ivan was accused of.
@ArchNoxxGaming@john_murdy Congratulations and welcome to the profession of medicine! I can assure you that with your background, education, and determination, that you will serve and help others well! Keep up your goals and ambition and you will be a success.
@ArchNoxxGaming@john_murdy To echo what @john_murdy mentions. experience is important. My path to Entertainment is unconventional. I studied business in college and did stage management. But Entertainment is a business that needs leaders, so I graduated law school—hone in on Contracts and Property.
@john_murdy I’m deeply sorry for your loss. I do remember Al when I was a ride operator at the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge attraction. Most importantly, I remember his uplifting and enthusiastic personality. May he rest peacefully as well and I hope you are doing okay.
@john_murdy That’s amazing. Do you know Will Haney, one of the attorneys there? He is a very helpful and talented attorney. He mentioned to me that he’s one of the Senior Attorneys for Marketing Collateral at Universal—I think he helped with HHN’s marketing in the houses and merchandise.
@john_murdy Broadly speaking, and this is for my practical course, what types of contracts did you need to have in place to have a house like Terrifier? Anything that you’d recommend I should know for future legal practice?
@john_murdy I’d love to see a house based off of “The Ruins,” but might be difficult to translate an anthropomorphic “man-eating vine” into a character.
@john_murdy Hello Mr. Murdy,
I’m doing a law school clinic and I’m drafting agreements. Broadly speaking, without confidential information, I was wondering if you could describe the types of contracts you use for HHN? I’m doing this for clinic hours and for practice for my future. Thank you!
@jason_blum The only reason I sometimes use the verbiage “that being said,” is because in college, I wrote an essay using the phrase, “that said,” to which my English Professor made a critique on my paper, which read, “the phrase is—that being said.”
@john_murdy I very much enjoyed the Poltergeist house this year, because your generation has the best horror films. I also very much enjoyed the Terrifier house. That house, I believe, is quintessential in the evolution of the horror genre.
@john_murdy Once you complete a treatment for a house, broadly speaking, does this mean your team has already secured the rights to the Intellectual Property?
