🧵 So I did a thing and I'm pretty fired up about it! I shipped an autonomous AI trading agent yesterday.
$500 of real capital. Real @RobinhoodApp Agentic account. No human in the loop during market hours. It scans, picks, enters, manages, exits...all on its own.
Wild that this is possible in 2026.

Showing Claude around the $HOOD Day 2:
Building an agentic Hedge Fund. Shipped the full rebalance pipeline today. Deployed both equity sleeves live on @RobinhoodApp Discovered three production gotchas
What shipped:
•Direct MCP client (hood_mcp.py): native Python access to the Robinhood MCP endpoint. Parallel to https://t.co/Yl89RdK3qc’s LLM-mediated path. Use direct when the workflow is deterministic data-fetch or execution; use Claude when you need judgment.
•Rebalance routine + order batcher: routine reads the signal, computes per-name targets, writes plan JSON. Batcher consumes the plan, pre-checks tradability, fires orders, handles retries. Routine is idempotent and sleeve-aware so momentum will not accidentally sell mean-rev positions.
•Token refresh (7-day OAuth lifetime): refreshes inline before each session if expiring within 24h. Launchd plist as belt-and-suspenders.
•Active vs target sleeve weight: registry stores the 4-sleeve target allocation; when fewer than 4 sleeves are deployable, weights auto-renormalize so the account stays fully deployed instead of parking cash for venues that may not open for months.
•Mean-reversion sleeve: long-only cross-sectional reversion. HOOD agentic beta does not permit shorts, so the textbook pairs/stat-arb construction had to be redesigned for the venue.
Three lessons the literature does not teach you:
1.The investor profile gate. HOOD blocks order placement after the first few trades on a fresh agentic account until you complete FINRA Rule 2111 suitability questions. Returns a 400 with a deep-link to the profile flow. Easy to miss in dry-run, blocking in production.
2.Fractional orders have their own rate limit. Separate from the generic per-second limit. Roughly 10-15 fractional orders before HOOD blocks the bucket with a distinct 429. Mitigation: longer throttle, multi-day deployment for big baskets, or whole-share limit orders where capital permits.
3.Limit orders cannot include fractional shares. Hard schema constraint. The clean path for sub-dollar share counts is market + dollar_amount. You give up limit-price protection; on liquid large caps the slippage cost is bounded by the spread.
Mean-rev sleeve deployed clean. Momentum partial, resumes tomorrow once the rate-limit bucket resets. Production teaches you what literature cannot.
I’ll add more money to the account once I flesh it out more and see some performance. Some of these problems will go away with more cash. Tomorrow I’ll have it fill the remaining 42 orders for my momentum sleeve. The mean reversion sleeve only has 10 stocks.
I’ll post some updates along the way on how this performs and once I can add an options and futures sleeve. 🤝

@JoeMaxAITrading The stack: Robinhood Agentic account + Claude Cowork. < one day build.
If you're trying to set this up yourself, DM me and I'll send the step-by-step guide for both. Looking to compare notes with anyone else shipping autonomous agents!
To the future. 🚀 (5/5)
@JoeMaxAITrading Lessons day 1: +7% target needs a clean trend day. MRVL chopped sideways all afternoon. Neither target nor stop hit, just bled to close. Iterating.

@mansourtarek_@Kalshi Kalshi is a scam. This proves that they are misleading in the way that the markets are set and how the outcomes are determined. The point is not about Kalshi’s profitability on this event, it is about how they misled people, on both sides, who participated.
Why Sean Kraft the nation’s no.1 rated long snapper from the Christ school Arden, NC tells us why he chose Notre Dame. I tried to catch one of his long snaps and the velocity almost broke my finger. His speed and accuracy rates much better than the average NFL long snapper.
Longevity update: Anti-Aging Injection Regrows Knee Cartilage and Prevents Arthritis
Scientists at Stanford Medicine found that blocking an age-linked protein (15-PGDH) can regrow knee cartilage, reverse joint damage in older animals, and prevent arthritis after ACL-like injuries - without using stem cells.
Early safety trials of a related pill are already underway, raising real momentum for human cartilage regeneration.
"You've never heard it till you've heard Eddie Vedder sing it."
Such respectful lines by Tom Petty, then he invites Eddie Vedder to stage.
There you have a beautiful performance of a song called 'The Waiting' live in 2006.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Eddie Vedder, the frontman of Pearl Jam, performing a great rendition of The Waiting.
This is what the internet was invented for.
