Ni más juventud ni vejez que la que hay ahora;

Elegimos a Chávez.
48 minutos.
Perdieron.
Trump lo dijo sin complejos: “To the victor belong the spoils.”
No.
everyone's obsessed with the 9:30 open
that's the trap
the REAL move usually starts at 10am (if we do not form a reversal prior to 9:30)
here's why:
9:30-10:00 is usually the manipulation phase of the 4-hour candle
it's designed to:
sweep overnight highs/lows
trigger early entries
stop out impatient traders
create the liquidity institutions need for the actual expansion
the 10am candle is when direction actually commits
because that's when the new 4-hour candle opens. and the previous 4-hour candle just showed you everything you need to know
I tracked 6 months of NQ data:
entering at 9:30 without profiling the 4H candle: 41% win rate
entering at 10:00 after confirming the 4H profile: 67% win rate
you're trading the wrong candle
here's why the 4-hour candle at 10am changes everything:
the 6am-10am candle is the one that absorbs all the manipulation. the 9:30 sweep. the stop hunt. the fake breakout. all of that is just the WICK of that candle forming
by 10am, that candle closes. now you can read it:
small wick → expansion candle → the 10am candle should continue in the same direction. look for gaps from the expansion to enter on
large wick → reversal candle → it's not going to expand. the NEXT 4-hour candle (10am) will. but it needs to form its own swing point first. wait for the lower timeframe reversal inside the 10am candle before entering
opened low first and expanded → bullish profile confirmed → 10am continuation longs only
opened high first then dropped → negative condition → either a reversal day with adjusted targets or a no-trade
the framework:
9:15: open charts. mark overnight high/low. check what the previous session did. did London reverse? if yes, you're trading 10am continuation from a gap
9:30-10:00: watch, don't trade. mark what gets swept. mark the gaps that form during expansion. check the correlated assets - is NQ sweeping but ES and YM aren't following? if so, the 9:30 move is fake. wait
10:00: the 4-hour candle closes. read the profile:
small wick + opened in the right direction → aligned with expansion → now drop to the lower timeframe. find the gap within the upper half of that previous 4H candle's range. that's your entry zone
large wick + opened the wrong direction → not an expansion candle → wait for the 10am candle to form its own reversal with a V-shape before entering. or just close the laptop
10:05+: if the profile supports expansion, look for your entry. confirm with SMT - do the correlated assets agree? confirm with the V-shape - expansion in, displacement out, gap forms
enter the gap. stop behind the sweep. target the next relevant swing
done by 10:30
fractalize your 10am 4-hour candle
what confirms the low of that candle? a 1-hour or 30-minute swing point. what's the alignment for a gap inside that 4-hour range? a 1-hour or 30-minute fair value gap
it's the same system on every timeframe. the 4-hour tells you IF you should trade. the 1-hour tells you WHERE. the 5-minute tells you WHEN
if you're getting stopped out between 9:30-10:00 constantly
it's not bad luck
it's bad timing
you're entering during the manipulation phase of a 4-hour candle that hasn't even closed yet. you're trading inside a wick that's still forming. you're guessing which direction the body will go before the candle tells you
the 10am close is the market saying "okay, HERE'S the profile. HERE'S whether it supports expansion. HERE'S your direction"
wait for it

there are four liquidity levels that exist on every single futures chart before every single session and 95% of traders don’t mark any of them
these four levels predict where price will go within the first 90 minutes of the session with repeatable, measurable accuracy
here’s the four levels and exactly how to use them:
level 1: the Asia session high and low
between 6pm and midnight EST, the Asia session builds a range. the high and low of this range are the first liquidity pools the London session will target
mark them every night before you sleep. takes 30 seconds
level 2: the London session high and low
between 2am and 5am EST, London sweeps one side of the Asia range and establishes its own extremes. these extremes are the primary liquidity targets for the New York session
mark them when your NY session prep starts. 30 seconds
level 3: equal highs and equal lows within the overnight range
when price touches the same level twice without breaking it, that’s a liquidity magnet. every stop order from traders who “bought support” or “sold resistance” is sitting at that level
scan the range for any doubles. mark them. 60 seconds
level 4: the previous day’s high and low
the most obvious and most powerful levels. institutional algorithms reference the prior day’s extremes for sweep targets more than any other level
these should already be marked on your chart at all times. if they’re not, that’s your first problem
four levels. total prep time: under 3 minutes.
what happens next:
when the New York session opens, you already know where the targets are. you don’t need to “figure out” where price is going. you need to watch which of your marked levels gets swept first
the sweep is the signal. the displacement after the sweep is the confirmation. the FVG retracement is your entry
every setup you’ve ever learned - the sweep, the displacement, the FVG, it requires knowing WHERE the liquidity sits before it gets taken
if you don’t mark the levels, you see the sweep in hindsight. if you mark them before the session, you see it in real time
the difference between those two things is the difference between a journal entry about “the move I missed” and a funded trade you entered on time
the traders in my Discord who mark all four levels before every session have a 23% higher win rate than the traders who mark levels “as they see them” during the session
same model. same confirmations. the only difference is whether the prep was done before or during
three minutes of prep. 23% better results. that’s the easiest edge improvement in trading

Every trader should understand this basic volume analysis:
Long lower wick + high volume = buyers bought the dip
Long upper wick + high volume = sellers stuffed the breakout
Wicks on both sides + high volume = buyers & sellers are battling
what timeframe do you trade?
5 minute
wrong answer
you don't TRADE the 5 minute
you ENTER on the 5 minute
you TRADE the 4-hour
here's what most traders don't understand:
the 4-hour candle is the institutional playbook
it tells you:
direction (is the wick small enough to support expansion?)
profile (did it open low first for bullish or high first for bearish?)
phase (are we in the protraction phase forming the wick or the expansion phase forming the body?)
the 5-minute chart is just your entry tool WITHIN the 4-hour bias
i watched a trader take 14 trades in a week
11 of them were inside 4-hour candles that had large wicks
"but the 5-minute setup was clean"
bro
a clean 5-minute setup inside a 4-hour candle that doesn't support expansion is a high-quality way to lose money
the wick already told you. large wick = reversal candle. it's not going to expand. the body will be small. your target won't get hit. you'll chop around for 3 hours and get stopped out on a wick
here's the framework:
4H small wick + opens low first → expansion candle → look for longs on the lower timeframe
4H small wick + opens high first → expansion candle → look for shorts on the lower timeframe
4H large wick → reversal candle → don't trade this candle. wait for the next one. the NEXT 4-hour candle will expand
4H choppy with no clear profile → no trade
that's it
but there's a second layer most people miss:
what happened INSIDE the previous 4-hour candle matters
if the previous candle reversed - confirmed by a lower timeframe swing point - then this new candle opens within that reversal. it should continue. the direction is already set. you just enter the gap
if the previous candle expanded and you're in a new candle - you're looking for a retracement into a gap. that gap should be within the upper half of the previous candle's range. that's where the low of this candle forms
if the previous candle hit a key level but didn't reverse - then THIS candle needs to reverse off that previous candle's low. wait for the small wick. wait for the swing formation.
the 4-hour candle isn't just telling you direction. it's telling you the TYPE of day:
continuation from a gap
reversal from a key level
aligned re-entry within expansion
each one has a specific entry on the lower timeframe. each one has a specific stop. each one has a specific target
but none of them work if the 4-hour candle profile doesn't support it
my win rate went from 44% to 63% when i added this one filter
i wasn't getting better at entries
i was getting better at SKIPPING 4-hour candles that didn't support expansion
the 4-hour candle isn't a "confirmation"
it's permission to even look for a trade
no permission = no trade
