We need to raise $1,100 today!
Not for a future project. Not for a wish list.
To help pay for the sanctuary houses that so many of our dogs call home.
At Layla’s Heart Ranch and Rescue, we make a promise to the dogs who come through our gates: once you’re safe, you’re safe.
No more being abandoned.
No more being forgotten.
No more wondering where you’ll sleep tonight.
For many of our dogs, the ranch isn’t a stop along the way. It’s home. Their forever home.
The reality is that donations have been incredibly slow, but the bills keep coming. The sanctuary house payments are due whether donations come in or not.
Today, we need your help.
If 220 people gave just $5, we’d reach our goal.
If 110 people gave $10, we’d reach our goal.
If Layla’s Heart Ranch and Rescue has ever touched your heart, would you consider making a donation today?
Every dollar helps us keep our promise to the dogs who depend on us.

One day left. We need to raise $3,000 by tomorrow night to reach our match.
On July 5th, Layla’s Heart Ranch & Rescue will celebrate five years of saving lives, second chances, and believing in the animals no one else would.
To celebrate this milestone, we’re trying to raise $100,000 this summer to help secure the future of the rescue and sanctuary. But right now, our immediate need is reaching this matching fundraiser.
The truth is, we’re struggling.
We’re behind on bills again. We need dog food. We have multiple dogs that need veterinary care. The Texas heat is here, and caring for nearly 200 animals every day doesn’t get any cheaper.
Every dollar helps us continue saying “yes” to the animals who have nowhere else to go.
🐾 $5
🐾 $10
🐾 $25
🐾 $100
No gift is too small.
If you’re unable to donate, please share. Sometimes a share is what reaches the person who can help.
For five years, you’ve helped us save dogs who were abandoned, abused, neglected, sick, elderly, and overlooked. You’ve helped us give them safety, medical care, and a place to belong.
Can we raise the final $3,000 by tomorrow night and take one step closer to both our match and our $100,000 anniversary goal?
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us and the animals who call Layla’s Heart Ranch and Rescue home.

🚨Last call for Gabby, out of chances & under kill command. Just 2-y/o, arrived early May whale-eyed & trembling, spent time w/ finder who said she was very gentle & was friendly w/ cats. She has made huge improvements at ACC but still made the list. Timid, sensitive, mellow, housetrained, asks for attn, walks well on a leash, knows basic cues. She is doing her best even though she is very scared. Loves hot dogs.
What do y’all think… can we raise $1,000 today and get one step closer to reaching our matching fundraiser goal? ❤️
Bubba is doing his part by testing out the pool and reminding us that summer in Texas has officially arrived! ☀️💦
Let’s make today fun!
You can help by:
🐾 Donating toward today’s $1,000 goal
🐾 Sending dog food, treats, toys, and other much-needed supplies from our Amazon wishlist
🐾 Purchasing one of the orthopedic dog beds we added for our sweet seniors, Beulah and Gordi
🐾 Donating an AC unit or fans to help keep the dogs cool and comfortable during the Texas heat
🐾 Sharing this post with your friends and family
Every dollar, every bag of food, every dog bed, every fan, and every share helps provide comfort, care, and second chances to the animals who call Layla’s Heart Ranch & Rescue home.
Our matching fundraiser ends Wednesday, and we’re hoping to raise $1,000 today to get one step closer to our goal.
So what do y’all think? Can we do it?

Years of neglect:
Mammary Masses, skin issues, LHL lameness
The Volunteers aren't allowed to walk her
But try to shower her w/ love
🚨 FIVE YEARS OF SECOND CHANCES 🚨
Five years ago, I made a promise to animals that had been abandoned, abused, neglected, forgotten, and discarded.
I promised them they would never have to wonder if they were safe again.
I promised them that someone would fight for them.
For five years, we have kept that promise.
Together, we have rescued countless animals, built a sanctuary from raw land, weathered floods, freezes, medical emergencies, and heartbreak, and continued showing up every single day for the animals who call Layla’s Heart Ranch & Rescue home.
Today, I am asking for your help.
The truth is that animal rescues across the country are struggling. Donations are down. Expenses continue to rise. Many rescues are being forced to close their doors.
I don’t want Layla’s Heart Ranch & Rescue to become one of them.
In the last week alone, we faced more than $5,000 in unexpected veterinary expenses.
King required emergency surgery that cost $1,700.
Then Picante underwent surgery to remove two masses. One was a fatty growth, but the other was described by our veterinarian as one of the nastiest masses they had seen. We are now waiting for biopsy results and praying for good news.
Picante’s surgery and diagnostics cost more than $3,500.
Like we always do, we said yes.
Because when one of our animals needs help, there is never a question.
We choose treatment.
We choose to fight for them.
We choose them.
Every single time.
But after Picante’s surgery, our account was left with only a few hundred dollars.
The animals don’t know donations are down.
They don’t know veterinary bills are piling up.
They don’t know rescues everywhere are struggling.
They only know that this is home.
They only know they are loved.
And I will fight with everything I have to keep it that way.
As we approach our 5-year anniversary on July 5th, we are launching the biggest fundraiser in our history:
🎉 $100,000 FOR FIVE YEARS OF SECOND CHANCES 🎉
This isn’t about one dog.
This isn’t about one emergency.
This is about protecting the future of Layla’s Heart Ranch & Rescue and ensuring that the animals already here continue to receive the care, safety, and love they deserve.
For five years, I have never given up on them.
Today, I am asking you to help me keep that promise.
If every person who has ever followed our journey donated just $5, we could change the future of this rescue.
Please donate if you can.
Please share if you can’t.
And please keep our animals in your prayers.

$5 FRIDAY FOR PICANTE- Please Help!
Yesterday, Picante underwent surgery to remove two masses. One was a fatty growth, but the other is much more concerning.
Just two weeks ago, it suddenly began growing rapidly and had started affecting the way she walked. During surgery, our veterinarian told us it was one of the nastiest masses they had seen. While we won’t know for sure until the biopsy results come back, they are concerned it may be cancerous.
Picante is only 8 years old.
Imagine losing the person you love most in the world. Then being sent to a loud, scary shelter where you don’t know anyone. Then being adopted, only to be abandoned and dumped all alone.
That was Picante’s reality.
After her owner passed away, she ended up in the shelter system. She was rescued, adopted, then abandoned and picked up by animal control before eventually making her way back to us in 2022.
Picante has major stranger danger, but once you’re in her circle, she loves you to the moon and back. She is family, and we will always do whatever it takes for our dogs.
Yesterday’s surgery and testing totaled $3,544.85, leaving us with only a few hundred dollars in our account.
Today is $5 Friday, and we desperately need your help.
❤️ $5 can make a difference.
❤️ Every share helps.
❤️ Every prayer matters.
After everything she has survived, we’re praying she survives this too. Please keep Picante in your thoughts while we wait for biopsy results.
