Breastfeeding benefits both child and mother. The mother will be emotionally and physically healthier later in life.
The milk adapts to the child's needs, surpassing current nutritional and medical science by giant leaps.
Breastfed children:
1) Have higher IQs
2) Are emotionally more robust
3) As children:
a) Are protected from infections
b) Suffer less from viruses
c) Are protected from SIDS and overall infant mortality
4) When older:
a) Are less prone to obesity
b) Are less prone to chronic diseases like cancer, asthma, and diabetes
c) Are less likely to have allergies
d) Are likely to have improved dental health
e) Are likely to have better gut health
Current recommendations are to breastfeed for 2 years or longer if suitable for child and mother.
Anybody criticizing breastfeeding based on perceived social norms are asses and part of the stupidity movement.
@100percentthot@ADHDForReal do you put all your fruit in the fridge? bc unless you got produce that’s initially refrigerated, putting it on the counter makes it last longer!
