@bcfilmroom Agreed, and you could also argue (bit of a stretch, but still) that beating smaller schools by big margins in non-conference play to juice our NET a bit and then playing well in the ACC would open a path to the tourney. But I think BC is just aiming for respectability this season
Don't really care if this is considered a "soft" schedule because
1) no schedule has been too soft for BC ball in the last 15 years
2) we have a first-time HC and a roster that hasn't played together. I would rather try to work out the inevitable kinks in "winnable" games
@lissmx14 There’s a world where Bron plays mostly as a distributor and Maxey/JB both accept a step back in their roles and it works, but not sure how realistic that is. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they look better when Embiid inevitably misses time and there are fewer mouths to feed
@jimfoley Sad because I would love for BC to have a good relationship with Northern Ireland given how we have arguably the strongest Irish Studies program in the US. Maybe someday we can smooth things over!
@Jolly_Olive They would need to get multiple top 100 prospects back for this to make any sense. A team with no starting pitching depth should not be trading one of its only reliable starters
NEWS: Boston College tight end Kaelan Chudzinski is expected to miss the season with an Achilles injury, Bill O’Brien told ESPN. Chudzinski emerged as one of the country’s top freshman tight ends in 2025 and projected as a starter for the Eagles this year.
@CorcoranCommons Argentina had next to nothing the whole game and then Tuchel invited them to live in England’s final third. All he had to do was keep them honest!
@MC_of_A If I was an England supporter I would genuinely be calling for Tuchel to be investigated. I cannot remember a manager ever holding a lead that poorly. He basically rolled out the red carpet for Argentina after the 70th minute
@CorcoranCommons And in doing so he completely ceded control of the game, Argentina basically had free run of the entire pitch because England had 6 guys in their own box. They were begging to give up the lead sitting that deep
Not that I really would’ve expected him to get named, but one guy not on here is Michael Adams, who is the answer to a random piece of BC basketball trivia (he’s the only former Eagle to ever receive a vote for NBA MVP)
Who won the draft? Who did we miss?
@BergaminiJack@brettrid3r and @JackPSeiberlich cooked up a draft board from the past 30 years or so of @bcmbb players and drafted dream teams! The guys mixed and matched from various eras.

Pretty shocked to see France held scoreless, but:
- they were uncharacteristically sloppy (especially Olise) in the midfield
- Spain exposed the limits of Deschamps ball. France had no answers once it became clear individual skill wouldn’t be enough to generate chances
@CorcoranCommons Yeah, on my further review, it’s just stupid for Digne to play the ball that way. Initially I thought it was Yamal just running into him and getting rewarded for incidental contact (which to a small degree it still was) but mostly it was a tremendously dumb play by Digne
@1ittleknownfact Yeah I feel like that J. Crew sweater that came out last year is one of the only pieces of BC merch I’ve seen that actually got the correct shade of maroon
