I don't believe in prosperity gospel. However I do believe in prosperity LAW, especially on a societal basis.

Prosperity gospel is the idea that if you have faith, God will supernaturally or providentially give you rewards or "good luck." this is pagan nonsense

However, all Christians can understand that a society which follows God's law will prosper more than one that doesn't. Not due to any covenantal promise from God, but just due to the fact that God's law is objectively good for human flourishing. A society where nobody steals or murders is gonna be better than one where everyone does. This is common sense.

Signing player for 100m isn’t any big deal but is that 100m player the right person for the team? Is that person worth that money?

Per your logic, we should sign Jackson for 100m since you desperately want 100m player but not the right profile?

I always tell you football is simple. You can buy 100m player and it won’t work or it’ll work. Same way you can buy someone for cheap and it won’t work or it’ll work. So it depends on profile.

That’s why last time I gave you psg as an example. They couldn’t do anything better with Neymar, Messi, Mbappe and Di Maria in one team. They couldn’t do anything better when they were just buying superstars. But since they decided to go for right profiles, see them now.

If the club would go for someone like Alvarez, Joao Neves, Nuno Mendes or Pacho for more than £100m now and the players are keen on the move, it would be a very sensible deal because even with the price, they’re the right profile and deserves that fees.

But you ranting for the club to pay for any bum because you think others are signing players with big fees doesn’t make sense.

You’ll say they didn’t bid Hall which I think they’re stvpid for not signing Hall but right now, even with £80m, no way Newcastle will sell him after losing two important players.

And you’ll say Mateus Fernandes too which is someone I really liked and wanted him so badly but I still stand by the club for not paying £85m for him because he’s not worth it!! Including the Tonali deal. The price wasn’t even the problem but £250k a week for Matheus Fernandes would’ve destroyed the team more than anything.

You start building a team with right profiles, when it starts working, then you go for some big signings

Pep started Manchester City with right profiles and didn’t overspend on players, but he brought in right players. Their best players (Rodri, Bernardo Silva, KDB, Marhez and co) didn’t cost him 100m or more.
