10/ AND THEN THEY WENT PRIVATE
In February 2026, Dayforce was acquired by US private equity firm Thoma Bravo for US$12.3 billion, with a significant minority investment from the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
Dayforce was delisted from the NYSE and TSX. It is no longer a publicly traded company.
The company handling payroll for the ENTIRE Canadian federal public service is now:
- Owned by American private equity
- Partially backed by a foreign sovereign wealth fund
- No longer subject to public financial reporting requirements
The government marketed Dayforce as a "made-in-Canada solution." It isn't anymore.
No public Investment Canada Act national security review has been found.

@a_kmrx@forgebitz not true. AI is just a tool like many before it. Just learn to use it and see how it helps your workflow. Short story, the way we work is changing, but there are still jobs to be done by everyone.
