@StellaDaGoat@thwacknicklaus@MitchSchwartz71 It’s also estimated that there were 11 million golfers in the us in 1970. Of that, 90-95% were estimated to be 18 or older. We have much better infrastructure now and access to better and more athletes.
@StellaDaGoat@thwacknicklaus@MitchSchwartz71 But that goes against his claim. He’s done swing speed training, mechanical changes, along with the mental shift of swinging hard. We know more things than they did in the past.
@StellaDaGoat@thwacknicklaus@MitchSchwartz71 That’s quite the claim. You do t think he can swing harder because he put in some work to be able to swing faster? I’m pretty confident that’s what he would say. We know a lot more about the cns and speed now than they did back in the day. Training is better now
@PaulNeilon@VigilantFox In England: Life expectancy if you survived past age 5-10 was 50-55 years old. Way longer than he was implying but but also way shorter than your guess. We have gotten a lot better at keeping people alive.
@NeilShenvi@LarryFarlow@jonwoodyard Didn’t click on the original tweet but it looks like DM is being a little inflammatory. The screenshot says his daughter wants to preach the gospel. Al Mohlers amendment wouldn’t prohibit that. DM made it about the general assembly which Mohler’s amendment would prohibit
@merelyjwright@MBTS So there is a line in permitting women to teach a man in a gathered church capacity and outside of the gathering? (Not a gotcha, I’d probably lean that way)
@clbolt A couple of points are unbiblical. But the way he listed this out is mostly bait if not entirely bait. The highlighted items aren’t even exclusive to elders. And I bet the equipping the saints point would include women teaching women and children
