@EcciusMaximus@WesleyLHuff I find it interesting that the Bible is such a threat to your church’s authority. The Bible is God’s Word, so it is trustworthy to guide us.
If the church has picked up traditions over the past 2,000 years that are in opposition to scripture, then those traditions must go.
@owenthcarey The question, “who is Jesus?” is the natural question of the New Testament. Most will arrive to the simple answer: he is my savior and I should worship him. But some would press further and find a conundrum. He is both described as God, but also clearly not the Father.
@CatholicDrip___ Luther did a wonderful work of translation, bringing the Word of God into people’s native language. But it wasn’t a perfect translation. Protestant Bibles don’t contain the word “alone”.
Romans 3:28 ESV
For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.
@TatooineSons lol nope. I didn’t over analyze the Force Awakens much at all. Visually the Last Jedi is beautiful. But the more I thought about the plot the more I hated it.
@LostMyHats@BobTheBaptist Tucker is reformed Baptist? I remember him saying he was Episcopalian and doesn’t currently attend a church.
And I thought JD was Catholic.
Am I incorrect?
@spiritteachmind@theBasedBarbie lol no. Those are some very deceived people who didn’t seem to understand the full extent of the gospel.
But my denomination has nothing to do with them or that history. Those white hoods don’t represent Protestantism. My concern is with the core foundation of the LDS.
@adammichaelwood No, Mormonism comes out of Christian roots but has developed a distinctly different theology to the point that it is its own religion. We don’t call Islam Christian or Jewish despite it coming out of them. It’s its own thing.
Mormons are Mormons, it’s a separate faith tradition.
