You can’t be moving so fast that you “don’t have time” to map out where you are even going.
Reactivity is a malignant tumor and capitalism is metastasizing it.
The biggest lie I believed in my 20s was that “work life balance” was some magical place I could reach if I just worked hard enough.
At 30 I’ve learned that “balance” is not a destination but rather a decision.
A boundary you enforce ruthlessly.
A brutal truth that I know now at 30 that I wish I knew at 20 is that:
Inner peace is not a destination, it's a daily ritual.
A constant battle to replace reactivity with proactivity.
It's always those who don't have kids who have the strongest opinion about how to parent.
It's always those who've never taken a risk in their life who have the strongest opinion about what's “unrealistic”
Their worldview is colored by their inexperience.
Never listen to them
The only investments I have made that continue to give me exponential returns are those I made in myself.
Investments in:
- MY skills
- MY health
- MY relationships
Put your oxygen mask on first.
Quitting is the only move that guarantees failure.
Everything else is just a season.
The clients leave. The agency closes. The tank runs dry.
But if you’re still breathing, you’re still in the game.
The night is darkest just before the dawn.
Don't fucking quit.
Your need for a "perfect plan" is just fear wearing a suit.
The biggest creators don't wait for clarity.
They ship volume to find it.
Create at scale.
Collect the winners.
Double down.
That’s the only strategy that matters.
I’m 284 days sober.
I got sober because I realized I was running from the only person I couldn’t escape—myself.
Success is a hollow trophy if you have to numn yourself to hold it.
Build your business.
Grow your audience.
Just don't lose your soul in the process.
You are the sum total of the incentives you are given.
Want to change your life? Change your incentives.
Stop fighting your nature and start fixing your environment.
The single greatest takeaway I have learned in my 20s is that “home“ is defined by: when you could choose anyone or anything else in the world, but you still choose it.
