Only 9 days until Halloween. If you’re looking for a fun set of creepy tales, my book - October 31, 1985: Six Tales Of Halloween - is available on Amazon. It’s meant to be quick, spooky reading for the season.
If you read it, let me know what you think!

I love Succession, but if Better Call Saul beat it for Best Drama, it would be the greatest awards show twist ever and put a smile on my face miles wide.
@RichJuz@RottenTomatoes Might be worth pointing out because there’s definitely an insidious ongoing attempt to boost ratings for that movie. Someone had to choose the quote they used to make the review seem positive and mark it as positive. Not sure if Rotten Tomatoes is just taking money to do that now
Do critics choose if their @RottenTomatoes reviews count as fresh or rotten?
It’s weird that @RichJuz’s review for Sound Of Freedom is counted as fresh despite him mainly calling it paranoid QAnon trash dressed up as a social commentary thriller with some competent filmmaking.
I got to meet Coy in the spring when he spoke to a group of students at @PHITHETAKAPPA’s regional event (an honors society for two-year college students) in Kentucky.
He was kind, forthcoming, and thoughtful in all his discussions. I look forward to reading more of his work!
Blew through @CoyHallBooks’s A Pantheon Of Thieves in no time.
Perfect if you’re looking for some grimy, disturbing historical horror.
More than one of these would make for a great episode of @RealGDT’s Cabinet of Curiosities.

I had a lot of fun with it - even the initial de-aged CGI scene that I was so worried about.
Everyone pretty much agrees that there’s some wonky special effects and that big final sequence could have been handled better. So much of the rest works that it doesn’t matter, though.
Really curious if the initial bad buzz for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be outweighed by the fact that every single person I know who has seen it has genuinely enjoyed it.
The box office nerd in me is watching the charts real hard to see if word-of-mouth saves it.
Half my TikTok feed is just that little girl dancing to “Swing Swing” and the other half is Taylor’s cabaret dance remixed to the dirtiest lyrics possible.
I’ll let you decide what that says about me.
This is a crazy list to look back on - partially because I could sing the chorus to almost every song in this Top 20, but “Tahitian Moon” is a complete black hole in my memory.
Also, the fact that “Mother Mother” by Tracy Bonham did multiple weeks at No. 1 is bonkers.
