@AndyHE29 It’s a valid criticism though, it got sold as a premium area with a private bar, the implication being that it would be quicker and easier to get served. I was quicker getting served in Goodison than I have been in club view, it’s a farce. Negates the point of the £10 credit.

@vickygrayson_ Other than the jobs figure which is clear, what is the context of the other figures? Is it the economic impact of people who attended private schools or what? Also, once again that doesn’t address my original point re most PSs closing were in financial difficulty already anyway.

@vickygrayson_ I suspect the £460m is net not gross, making it harder to calc the true cost. It will def still be a net benefit based on the extra cost in state schools being factored in imo. The original point though was that almost all PS reports of closing were in financial difficulty before

@vickygrayson_ £460m divided by 582,477 (no of private pupils) gives ~£790. Multiply that by 13000, the extra that you claim have left is ~£10m, so £460m minus £10m = £450m. However I must admit that amount of average VAT per pupil does seem rather low, I suspect the true amount is much higher.
