@shiesteey@avyargo @moment_mirthful @PicturesFoIder Minimum wage versus median house price, not median wage.
He said that nobody has ever been able to support themselves off of minimum wage, which isn’t true.
@avyargo @moment_mirthful @PicturesFoIder USA average rent in 2009 was $886/month, and minimum monthly wage, at 40/hrs per week, paid $1.256.66. So it was technically possible.
Now, it’s STILL $7.25/hr and avg. rent is $1,591/month, while the minimum wage is the same.
Possible then, impossible now.
@avyargo @moment_mirthful @PicturesFoIder Adjust the 2009 wage for inflation and you get $10.60, which is what it should now be, but isn’t.
Even so, $10.60/hr, at a 40hr/week, pays $22,464/year. Which is 18.7x LESS than the median house price.
In 2009, it was 12x. So yes, it’s harder now.
@avyargo @moment_mirthful @PicturesFoIder Median Average US house price in 2009 was $185,200. 12x the yearly salary on minimum wage.
Minimum wage is still the same in the US today as it was in 2009; $7.25/hour. 40hr work week, = $15,080/year.
Median Average house price TODAY (2024) is $420,800.

@Charlie_Carrel In a previous tweet you claimed that despite photos, videos and witnesses, a plane didn’t hit the Pentagon.
Now, one man speaks in Congress, with no photos, videos or examples, and you’re now taking this as gospel?
Make it make sense Charlie!
@The__D__Ry @Charlie_Carrel @R99C_ So are you of the opinion that they fired a missile, then proceeded to plant huge items of destroyed plane parts, all marked with the correct serial numbers to the actual plane, in the short time it would take for those inside the building to notice it happened?
