BIG NEWS: Governor @GavinNewsom is endorsing my campaign for Lieutenant Governor!
As a Navy Veteran, former Mayor, and member of the Governor’s Cabinet, I've spent my career in service solving problems and delivering real results for people.
California, we came up just short to advance to the top two in November. Out of 16 candidates for Lieutenant Governor, we finished a strong third, earning more than 1.2 million votes. I am so proud and grateful to everyone who worked on and supported our campaign.
The result in this campaign is not the one we wanted. But losing an election does not change the work, and it does not change me. I am not done serving a state and nation I love and owe so much to, not by a long shot.
Ballots are still being counted, and I am so proud of our team and campaign for having passed the 1 million vote mark!
Thanks for being patient California, and to all of our supporters for doing so much and being so strong!
With nearly 600,000 votes and counting, we are so proud of where the campaign is. We are currently in third place with almost half of the ballots still uncounted. Thank you to everyone who supported this campaign. I am so proud and thankful.
From the beginning this campaign has been about service. Serving the community and serving each other. That’s what democracy is about. We’re spending the day by helping build a tiny home in Sacramento that will help serve as transitional housing for someone coming off the street.
What a special experience to vote with the whole family! Democracy must be learned and practiced by every generation. Make sure you vote today by 8pm! Thank you to everyone who has been apart of this incredible journey.
.@JoshFryday: "I'm not doing this because I need a job or seeking another office," Fryday, who currently serves as CA Chief Service Officer, said.
"I'm doing this because I want to scale the service programs we built to have universal service in California and universal pre-apprenticeships for every young person, I want us to have more affordable housing...and I want to make sure we are doubling affordable energy that we have here in California," he continued.
Fryday notes he's been endorsed by California Gov. @GavinNewsom@CAgovernor and others.
“The board says Fryday stood out in interviews by focusing on California’s affordability gap, proposing cheaper access to higher education and expanding state service corps programs.”
