Feels like a dangerous road for football to go down. Everton have already been punished with a points deduction. The club's statement is right to question the precedent. If clubs can be retrospectively sued over league positions and hypothetical outcomes, where does it stop?

The same 3 person panel that gave a 10 point deduction to Everton heard this case. That sanction was negated & recalculated on appeal to -6 pts. That panel was critical of the first

#EFC now had 4 cases, 3 panels & appeal panel heard. Other cases yet to be resolved
