It definitely hurt the goodwill EA had built after bringing back CFB and listening to the community but at least they ended up doing the right thing
#CFBPlayDontPay was a big success
Insane that EA is trying to use a marketing sheet for creators now to try to calm the narrative. A lot of the wording in here is gaslighting the community. They are standing firm with microtransactions. A big FU to everyone. #CFBPlayDontPay
The most disappointing thing about @EASPORTSCollege and their reaction to #CFBPlayDontPay is to act like they didnโt change the coach XP progression when they deliberately took out the ways to earn XP faster for free in order to push you to buying the levels faster for real money. This was obviously no accident.
The whole point of dynasty is that itโs โyour worldโ. If you want to change settings to go crazy, YOU CAN. If you want to see what would happen with injuries jacked up to 100, YOU CAN. You should be able to do whatever you want within your own fantasy land for football without having to pay extra for it.
Yes, you can still choose to not pay extra, but even if you argue that you arenโt being forced to payโฆ you are 100% being funneled into paying extra when coach levels take longer than they did previously, XP overall takes longer to gain, and the options to expedite any of that grind were removed in favor of real money alternatives. It shouldnโt take 25-30 years to max out your coach when most dynasty rebuilds will be completely over within 15 seasons. Itโs blatant
