@edutinker @RevRobArmstrong Whether or not Saddleback means “deacon” when they use “pastor” doesn’t seem to be the issue at hand, but instead whether or not the BF&M means anything other than Lead Pastor when referring to pastors in Article 6.

@edutinker @RevRobArmstrong The Scriptural clarity to which Rob is referring is regarding the office of pastor, elder, bishop, and overseer, all titles used interchangeably in the New Testament. Those words are never used interchangeably with deacon.
