Here is the September issue of the letter I send to the families of First Evangelical Church! Praying it's a blessing!
Discipleship in the Family - September, 2026 https://t.co/hd33uR8Ab7
@chrismunns Yep! I was a junior in college when we first got Wifi. Had to get a wireless network card that connected to the computer through a slot on the side. We all sat in the lobby of the dorm amazed that we were on the Internet!
With this post, we're caught up on these monthly emails. I'll be sharing other things (both new and old) until the next Discipleship in the Family in June! Stay tuned!

"...He will be exalted among the nations and in the earth. He will be exalted with or without our effort. So, stop putting pressure on your own shoulders that was never yours to bear."

Child dedication is as much about the church as it is about the parents and children. We ask the church to help parents disciple their children because we all need each other.

@CheapSeats411 They also had a distribution center in Memphis that was big enough to now house multiple restaurants, a grocer, a health clinic, a radio station, a high school, several floors of apartments and more.

Each Monday (until I catch up with myself) I'll be posting the letters I've sent to the families of First Evan! Here is January's...

@HogFanPage Ah, memories. His son and my kids go to the same high-school. It's pretty nostalgic to see #5 take off for a run then hear "McFadden" over the loudspeaker!
@TaylorBurgess87@jasonkovacs Been doing handwritten notes to volunteers and staff over the last year. I get so much positive feedback and open conversations. It’s an easy win, even if my hands hurt!
@TheRhetorRick Maybe...reminds me of the joke about the guy found on a deserted island. There were three structures: his home, his church, and the church he used to go to.
@PicturesFoIder My wife’s maiden name is Black and my last name is Raspberry. Smucker’s sent us cases of Black-Raspberry jam and we gave it out as wedding favors.
