Trust issues in CPTSD run incredibly deep. Survivors might struggle to believe compliments, assume people have hidden motives, or constantly wait for the "other shoe to drop" in perfectly healthy, safe relationships.
Always ignore provoking spirits. They thrive on creating problems, provoking reactions, and manipulating you into acting in ways you wouldn’t. When you lash out, they flip the script and play the victim.
Manipulative kindness is real, people can shower you with compliments, favors, and attention, only to later use that goodwill as leverage. What feels like generosity can be a carefully laid trap designed to make you feel indebted and easier to control.
